HELIOS invests in new hospital building in Duisburg, Germany

Fresenius Helios has started work on the new main building at HELIOS St. Johannes Hospital in Duisburg, Germany. With about 25,000 square meters (270,000 square feet) of floor space, the five-story structure will house most of the medical departments, seven operating rooms, and 375 patient beds. The remaining beds will stay in the existing building, which will be completely renovated. The new building’s completion is planned for 2019. In the coming years, the company will invest about €110 million in the hospital.
